About Us

Vienna Woods Strings is a string chamber orchestra dedicated to bringing beautiful music from the classical literature to audiences across the Northern Va area.

Our concerts are welcome to all, provided free of charge, and present truly inspired music from masters of the highest caliber.

Our hope is that our music, drawn from these compositions full of humanity and kindness, will be both healing in these challenging and divided times, and move listeners towards the very best part of themselves.

VWS presents our music in an entertaining and educational manner, with explanations designed to help even novice listeners grasp the subtleties of the music in a way that will make it come alive for them.

Vienna Woods Strings is also a friendly place for talented and dedicated amateur musicians to hone their technical skills, and dive deep into interpretation with the soulful music we choose.

We are grateful to Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna for the opportunity to serve our community through their sanctuary space.
